Personal Statement: Through watercolor, graphite, analog, and digital collage, I examine the relationship between inner experience and the external world. Surreal imagery, layered compositions, and elements from nature become metaphors for memory, emotion, and human experience, inviting introspection and personal interpretation. In my botanical work, I focus on capturing the individuality and presence of each plant as a living, breathing subject rather than a static object of study. The slow, deliberate process becomes meditative, grounded in patience, precision, and sustained attention. Across both practices, I seek to create contemplative spaces that encourage stillness, reflection, and emotional connection.
